can anyone direct me to someone that can fresh out a barrel .I built this rifle in 1976 it has a Douglas .54 cal 1:48 barrel . I would like it freshed out to .58 cal . The breech is getting a little ragged

I would suggest that you call Mr. Hoyt to discuss what you want. Mr. Hoyt has no web page nor email. Call early in the morning and call often if need be. He will answer when he can hear you over his machinery. He's done several barrels for me and you will find a mountain of 5-star rating's on this forum for him.

Does he do de-farbing?
I don't believe he's into the 'de-farb' thing. But barrels, he's a treasure to the black powder community. There are a couple de-farbers out there, a little searching should find one or two. Since the Enfield musket was offered already authentic from the factory, some of the de-farbers went out of business. Good luck!
