SOLD Fowling Piece by Roy Stroh

This American fowling piece is made by contemporary maker Roy Stroh in 2019. It has less than 100 rounds through it (probably less than 50). The barrel is wonderfully light and thin tapered, octagon to round 48-inch .69 caliber (14 gauge) barrel by Charles Burton. Lock is a Davis Trade Lock. He cast all the brass parts, including the serpent side plate. Whole gun comes in at 6.8 lbs. Length of pull is 13 1/2” total length is 63 ½”.

Also included is an extra tapered hickory ramrod I made to match the original, a simple ramin cleaning rod with a .69 jag, and some card and fiber wads. Gun has been tested with round ball, shot, buck, and buck and ball and is an absolute joy to carry. Price is $1,650 shipped and insured CONUS. That looks one heckuva lot like the fowling piece I had Roy custom build for me many years ago. Same barrel, same stock, same side plate and drop, same LOP... He's featured mine on his website for years. I wasn't aware he made another. Mine certainly is a joy to use. Absolutely my favorite smoke pole.
