1B7A1B1F-8512-422A-8D68-8182E1269CC7.jpeg This light really helps me see all the way to the breech.
Runs on AAAA batteries, which are hard to come by but it beats the drop in lights, which seem to have a green or yellow tint. The wand is 18” long.
    Now I can quit guessing.

Would you share where you got it and the price? I'd like to have one.
Maybe share a source for AAAA batteries too? I never knew there were any smaller than AAA except for coin batteries.

Wouldn't reach the bottom of most of my long guns. On a couple of them not even half way...
And how do you see down the barrel with that in the barrel???

I simply shine a small penlight down the barrel, I can easily see to the bottom of the breech....

I prefer an Endoscope, but if it works and you like it that's cool.

I've heard where some guys drop a shiny ball bearing down the bore and direct a light on it. Just be sure and use a ball bearing that is somewhat smaller than the bore diameter. Or else it could get stuck like it did for this poor fellow.

Someone used to sell sets of little mirrored discs you could drop down the bore.

I had an LED white "frosted" light on a sleeve just large enough to hold a pair of hearing aid batteries that Squire Robin sent me. Worked great until I tipped the rifle to slide it back out and bobbled the catch after a 44" head of steam and on past the bench to the concrete floor. Stopped working then. :-(

I use the same light without the extension, just shine it down the bore reflection shows it all. And if I need a better view I have a bore scope. You can buy AAAA batteries at Home Depot or Lowe’s at least here you can.

many 9v batteries are made up of six AAAA. Some aren't but you can usually get lucky tearing open a 9v to get them.

Some of the endoscopes that proliferate on eBay have a usb interface that can be fed to your smart phone or computer. You have to read the description and specifications.
