Can I just change the lock on my TC Hawken, to covert from percussion to flint ..?
Is the flash hole in the barrel totally different ?

Could I change the breech plug , or just look for a complete flint lock rifle ..?
Breech plugs are probably custom fit and not interchangeable...

Might just look for a barrel / flint lock assembly...?

The breech plug and touchhole, or nipple assembly, in a TC Hawken barrel is one piece. So what they did at the factory is flintlock barrels got one breech plug and caplocks the other breech plug. The Tang was the same in the rifles, though made to fit the outside dimensions.

IF, and it's a big IF..., you can find a flintlock breech plug for the TC Hawken, it could be installed and with a flintlock lock, you could convert it over. I've seen it done once, and the guy got lucky because the gunshop had up on it's top shelf in the shop, an old TC black powder parts kit that had a 15/16ths breech plug for a flinter. (Barrels from TC had different outside dimensions).

Whether a breech plug today can be found to swap out the one on your barrel is another question. https://www.trackofthewolf.com/List/Item.aspx/663/1

A better option (imho) is to keep your eyes peeled for an after market Green Mountain barrel for your Hawken, for flintlock, and use that coupled with an after-market lock. https://www.trackofthewolf.com/Categories/PartDetail.aspx/759/1/LOCK-LR-03-F Just know that once converted over with the after market lock the TC lock doesn't normally go back in. OR you could scrounge a used TC Hawken Flintlock Lock.
