When ordering flint of a particular size: if I want flints 1 inch long by 3/4 inch wide, which size is listed first in the catalog? I mean when it is listed 1" x 3/4", is the length 1 inch or the width?
In the past I simply carried my correct size flint to the shop and bought new ones by comparing. Alas I have no such store near me anymore.

1" is the length. ¾ is the width. To determine the correct size, measure the frizzen at its base. This will give you your maximum flint width. Next place the cock at half cock. Measure from the front surface of the jaw screw to the surface of the frizzen. This is the maximum length of you flint. Go to the Track of the Wolf web site, and find the flint that measures the nearest 1/8" length and width. If you need further help, you can always contact Track of the Wolf with a phone call. Be sure to tell them who made your lock Hope this helps.

Yes sir! I finally got it figured out. I also emailed Track. They responded almost immediately. Help is always close at hand around here.
