Lee Good at Claremore, Oklahoma J. M.Davis museum was a wealth of knowledge and had a monthly column in Muzzle Blasts back when. Friend with an original and copy shoots tennis balls more than 200 yards. Thought about trying to drop tennis balls down through the smoke flaps of the rendezvous booshway but decided against it as the fuzz on the balls might catch fire. Kentucky windage and remembering trajectory and charge on aiming. Historically the midget Brown Bess like stock and furniture smoothbore fell out of favor over good old hand thrown grenades by the highly respected grenadiers. Took more than balls of lead to hurl grenades up against a fort in the open. Professional baseball pitchers might have been recruited had they existed in the 1700's.
