Hello All,

Decided to make my first pouch, and instead of something simple i decided to make a double pouch. I didn't use any premade pattern, and think it turned out pretty good all things considered. I did get a little hasty and should have added the strap before I added the flap, but i'll just suck it up haha. Any suggestions on what kind of strap I should add?

Thanks,
Duck

You did well - nice looking pouch! I think a strap made of soft temper leather sewn to the back side at the top of the bag would work.

Haha true, don't see too many store bought double bags.
I didn't include in the first post, but its a smallish bag, maybe 7 or so inches across. Debating not whether I should add strap starters on the bag with D rings or just sew a strap straight to the back and use a button on the bag for strap size adjustment.
Was really fun to make though, definitely won't be the last bag I make.
Leather used was a 3.5-4oz honey chrome tan from Tandy, and is somewhat supple. The flap was some scrap leather that I wanted to use for color contrast.

If you decide you don’t like it, just send it to me. I’ll give it a good home.
