Took out the flintlock I put together from a Traditions kit on Friday, and did a little slip hunting in WV. Connected with this little doe! Exactly what the wife ordered (didn't have much room in the freezer lol). Shot was about 40 yards quartered to me. Shot hit her where the point of the shoulder and neck meet and I recovered my ball in the offside hip. Dropped her in her tracks! Load was 70 grn 2F Shutzen with a patched round ball. 4F in the pan.

Nicely done Jack on the gun and the deer!
My uncle always told me "the deer down in WV had two legs shorter than the other so they could run around the hills easier" - any truth to that?!
Lol, definitely some truth to that!
