I have two that are factory assembled, I also did a kit myself....The difference from the factory is very noticeable.
My fist kit back in the early 80's looked much like yours...

Go out and shoot it....Generally, the way that those guns shoot..(tack drivers), makes people forget about the aesthetics.. :v
 
The criticisms are really critiques and personal opinions. I belong to a writers group and sometimes when new people come in they are devastated with the critique comments of their work. It is not personal, we are trying to help. Really, what I admire most about what you did with those rifles was: #1] You did it yerself. :applause: and #2] You personalized yer rifles they way YOU like them to be. :bow:
 
Don't be scared to redo the rifle.
It's easy to strip the finish and do the woodwork to your liking now. You don't have to leave it "as is".
