Went to a friend's farm Saturday with my Mountain Howitzer (6 pounder). Made up small charges (2.5 ounces) my friction primers, cannon powder and my bucket of Dick's Sporting Goods fake leather cover baseballs.

Everything worked great, nice booms, no drama and a lot of very good range/cannon safety of course. The baseballs travelled straightly and went a long way on a little powder.

I also found a can of corn/beans etc. would fit nicely in the bore...hmmmm. Don't know how well the cans would hold up. I know, sacriledge.

Anyway, it was a lot of fun.
