Local guy has a Euro Arms Rogers and Spenser 44 revolvers for sale. What’s a decent price?

The guy is asking $540. A search on gun broker for past closed sales shows that is in range and reasonable. If I factor in the sales price and that gun broker will involve sales tax and shipping.

What do those in the know say? Also, anything specific I should inspect or look out for? Anything peculiar about this revolver I should know?

Problem is parts. It's a good gun. First one I bought a long time ago.

That seems in the range of what they go for. I have one with a badly pitted bore. If you haven’t handled one or shot one the shape of the butt and the long reach to the hammer to cock it are different from a Colt or Remington. Good ones have a good recommendation for accuracy.

They are excellent revolvers, and haven't been made in many years. They are in my opinion among the best for target work.

Fairly popular in N-SSA competition circles. They are pricey compared to other reproduction revolvers as they have not been made in some time. Also as others noted parts could be a problem.

I picked one up for $300 last year from a seller who thought it was an 1851 Navy. It's my one and only "I gotta deal" story. :)
