When I was younger, I remember my grandfather kept a Remington in the barn along with two old cans of powder. One was a DuPont FFFg can, and the other was labeled “Ducking Powder”. When I asked him what the difference was, he said they were the same. I never used either of them, and I don’t know what became of them. I was wondering if they were the same, and is ducking powder still manufactured?

Can probably looked like this one.

I remember it was red for sure. I just wonder why he said they were the same. At least they were similar enough to shoot out of that revolver. Although I never saw him fire it.
