I have a terrible left hand "action tremor" and a mild right hand tremor; doing anything "small" is a frustration for me. I needed to trim, sand/scrape and stain a couple of ramrods and couldn't manage them without making a big mess. I bought a Dremel vise (Amazon) and it has solved many problems for me. I have a Dremel motor with foot control but just about gave up on it; the vise comes with a Dremel motor-holder, so I may find use for it again. The vise clamps very securely to the small, very old sturdy oak kitchen table that I work at.

Mr. Ed,

I’ve always heard there’s more than one way to skin a cat!

I have too find ways too work around things now myself.

A dislocated shoulder and torn rotator cuff tendons and ligaments will make a man come up with eventful ways of doing things.

I have a 28"X14" shallow plastic tray (muddy-boot tray) that my coffee-maker (Great! I have a tremor and add coffee to it!) sits in; I put any open cans of stain, etc. in the tray and if I spill them, the clean-up is easy. Sometimes, a wrist brace is helpful too.
