WARNING - this one will make you laugh out loud!
I remember reading that years ago, LOL! Of course such talented activity is beyond the grasp of Senatorial understanding in the Arkansas republic... Can't have amateurs with 12 lbr cannon firing grapeshot in the woods, they might take out an entire platoon of Holstein milk cows, LOL! Also really liked his 'Feral Cat Coehorn' adventures. I have in fact a mortar barrel I need to make a base for; it is a big chunk of steel 11 1/8" diameter and will just swallow a gallon paint can. Chamber is 2 3/4" by 2 3/4" deep. I could theoretically repaint a herd of stray cats up to at least 1700 yards if the wind is right. It is based on the 1841 U.S. Siege Mortar. Weighs a bunch. Make a hell of a door stop.

I have people ask me i i go deer shooting with my 1.25 in bore ships cannon. Ok so i can lift it but would not want to hold it when it goes bang!. I think you would have a lot of broken bones, and try to explain that one to the doctor in the ER.
