I purchased this rifle back in 2014. Did not know who made it until i took the barrel out recently and saw the name under the barrel.

Says D.E. Quinn with the year 1978.

Would like to know if anyone recognizes the name as a rifle maker?

Also what style and year would the rifle represent?

Thanks in advance, Jim

Looks like a Lancaster style stock and patchbox with a Germanic style flintlock. Probably a Siler.

If I were forced to put a date on it I would guess somewhere between 1780 and 1820. The guess is based primarily on the distance of the trigger guard rail from the wrist of the stock. (Earlier guns rail's are further from the wrist.)

A left-hand flintlock rifle ? (or, is the picture flipped ? )

It's a fairly modern rendition, judging by the barrel stamping.
