cva mountain rifle 50 cal USA made. aqua fortis and true oil on the stock. Four screw patch box. Have not fired . 325.00 shipped us.

It is a nice rifle. I had one just like it back in the early 80's that I made from a kit in .54 caliber. I finished it in the same lighter color. I took it to our local rendezvous that year and ended up winning a rifle with it. It beat out several custom guns, much to the chagrin of their owners.

That is definitely one of the early ones. You can tell by the ramrod pipes.

If I didn't already have a CVA Mountain Rifle in good shape, I would be all over this one. I don't think you can go wrong at the price the seller is asking.

...and no, I don't even know him. It's just that these are great rifles for the money, and they aren't being made any more.

I'm actually buying this as a Christmas present for my nephew. But it's a long ways to Christmas, and meanwhile I'll need to verify it's staying in good operating condition...
