Co worked gave me a partial CVA kentucky pistol kit he found in a clean out and I can't seem to figure out how the ramrod thimble connects to the barrel tenon, or if it doesn't, where and how should it be mounted. Tenon and thimble we're ordered from Deer Creek, they weren't on the pistol

It doesn't connect to the tenon.
A small hole is drilled in the center of the ramrod channel through the web into the barrel channel.
The screw goes through the web from the barrel side to hold the thimble, the installed barrel covers/hides the screw

One hole is drilled for the rear thimble, I guess I have to drill one for the front thimble

Curious what the tenon does as it doesn't connect to anything... what holds the barrel in besides the tang screw?
