Outside of barrel had some minor flecks of rust which have been cleaned up previously. Barrel comes off easily for cleaning. A nice handy carbine. $ 250 shipped to you. Looks just like my plainsman except for the addition of the nose piece on the stock. Same lock and barrel length. Should be a good shooter. .490 ball .010 wonderlube patch over 65 grns of ffg black and i can shoot eggs at 50 yrds all day. You got a good deal on a nice looking rifle. Congratulations

Good move HarvinTx. Just saw one of these at a local auction last Sunday. All beat up and most of the bluing worn to dull grey. I didn't even bother to look at the bore, and it sold for $250. Nice gun here at a decent price.
