Copy of a pedersoli Brown Bess stock for Sale.
Stock is carved out of maple.
This is a stock replacment that was cut by Dixie Gun Works in the 1980’s.
The lock mortise is cut for the earlier production run lock which is slightly larger, the newer one will fit with some additional work.
Flaws: The holes in the lock mortise appear to be shallow wood screw holes that were likely used to hold the workpiece down. The ramrod hold drifted downward. In the forearm about 2mm to low and into the trigger guard mortise, this can be corrected by milling out (or carving out) the inside of the barrel channel where the ramrod hole is located.
Price is $175 shipping is $65 for the length.
