Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
I have finished Sherry's rifle (less sighting in) and am pleased with the results  . I worked on two rifles during a 9 month period (mostly weekends). Have a look @ Sherry & Russ rifles also I included some others for your viewing  .
BTW, what kinda muzzleloader is that thar funny lookin' one in the lower left? You know, the one with one barrel over the other, and the giant, funny shaped sidelock? :rotf:
The stain on #5 & #6 is Aqua Fortis it came out a wee bit darker than I wanted. The finish on the first three is LM Permalyn and the others are Tru-Oil. The first two are stained with LM Nut Brown & are .45 cal. with Green Mountain barrels some with Siler Mountain lock kits - one is hand built by me. None of the rifles are from kits, most of the wood came from a saw mill in NJ in 1973. I hope this answers some of the questions - Thanks - P.S. YEP - that one on the bottom left is a SPECIAL ML it was decovered in a warehouse owned by a "guy" called Uncle Sam and he said if you practice with this here rifle and get good you can defend this here country so you will be free and stand tall forever  !
