"Paterson" is, of course, reference to the town in New Jersey where the Patent Arms Manufacturing Company revolvers were produced. I have trouble envisioning Jerseyites pronouncing it "pay-ter-son". But what do I know.

Sorry for reviving and old thread, but I'm looking for dimensional information on the Paterson and I see a couple of owners in this thread... Could anyone possibly help me by providing the following please?
- Barrel outer diameter (face to face)
- Frame thickness at trigger pin
- Frame thickness at hammer pin
- Cylinder outer diameter
- Grip thickness at widest point

Not sure what you are asking here but the width at the breech is .731" and at the muzzle is .652"
Frame thickness at trigger pin: .888"
- Frame thickness at hammer pin: .880"
- Cylinder outer diameter: 1.535"
- Grip thickness at widest point: and that would be at the base/bottom of the grip; 1.359"
- The serial number on my ( I believe it is a Pietta ) is 15xx. The date looks a lot like BD, 1994.
- It has PN on the frame and barrel. Can someone tell me what that means?
