Does it break down for easier packing? Is the length that you posted the overall length or the blade / cutting stroke length? Also, what it the tensioning cord made of?

Thanks

Woody

It breaks down to store or transport. The tension is set with heavy waxed artificial sinew. The blade tooth to tooth is 18". I plan to break down to ship. Wood is plain, unfinished, but can be oiled or shellac finished as the new owner sees fit. I won it at a local rendezvous in May 1993. It was The current blade is the 3rd, but like new, used to cut less than 12-15 * 4" branch logs. New owner can change tension cord, also, if they wish to.
