I joined the COHT 2 months ago. I sent my persona and money electronically , it took them almost a month to send me a password for the members only site . And come to find out it has virtually no useful material for period treks . Or treks scheduled or anything really but the rules of the coalition. I always heard they were good in the past but i gained literally nothing by joining but their rule book . Just cements what I already knew I guess. Just trek because you love to trek . No need to join anything

Interesting, I was interested in joining but I’m getting my roundtoit repaired. I think we can get a lot of ideas off this forum.

They finally got back to me actually last night , with a message that I’d be sent to the director in my area. But idk... Iv personally seen no benefits of it . Maybe it will change tho. I’ll try and keep it updated if it does.

A couple of months ago I sent COHT an e-mail to inquire about membership and events and have heard nothing yet.

    Gentlemen,

Perhaps I can assist: I've been the Treasurer of the CoHT since 2007. I'd be happy to share what I can with you and let both the Membership and Communications Directors of your issues. Feel free to send me a personal message, or email my home address at sjsdm@cableone.net

Sorry I didn't see this sooner, but I just returned from out of state.

    Please do.

I talked with our Membership Director last night and he assured me he'd be mailing out info this week.

Is there any specific trekking info you are looking for? Always happy to share what info I have.

The only questions I have now are about specific treks and events going on which I suspect I will learn about when I hear from my regional governor . Thanks again for your help.

Just to update as I think it’s fair . I have received the expected emails , letters and communication along with events and other correspondence As of this week, The members that reached out here were nice and helpful and I plan on making it to some events . It seems I joined in a time when membership directors were changing. Now that that’s worked out it seems to be ironing itself out. Just glad I’m seeing some results from my joining and spending money. Thanks all .

I was the Colorado State rep for the COHT 14-15 years ago. Didn't appear to be any interest in Colorado. Met the Wyoming Rep about 14-15 years ago at a Western Rondy in the horse camp( I used to use a horse in "trekking"). He had the same problem. So I respectfully resigned. No disrespect but I never looked back. With that being said, I have two yellow COHT flags that some one can have.
