This always hung on a pair of antelope horns over my grandpa's fireplace. Have never shot it, but found some load info at possibleshop.com: No. 11 cap, 18 grains FFFg, .440 round ball / .015 patch.

Those are so much fun. I shot mine tonight with 15 grains and a .440 ball. No patch. It fits very tight.
I did some bird shot in it, and just some powder with paper wads. One of the most fun guns I have. Clean up was a breeze.
