Some questions for you civil war rein-actors and history buffs. I have been curious as to who rated an issuance of a percussion revolver during the civil war for either the union or confederacy? Obviously Calvary, but would that include mounted non-commissioned officers like privates? For that matter, how about artillerymen, shipboard sailors and anyone in an auxiliary detachment? I would imagine that some civil war participants had their own percussion revolver they brought to the battle, as well as, battle field pick ups by soldiers.
