A fantastic new book by Paul Clements. This is a book compiling over two thousand actual events from first person accounts in the region from the early 18th c. into the 19th c. A vivid eye opener to the horrors and suffering of frontier warfare these early settlers endured. Eleven years in the making and data gathering. I was able to scan through and read some of it at The Fort Bledsoe Colonial Fair in TN over the weekend, and got to meet the author. A quite large and thick book, and at a very modest price. Search it out and you can read some of the accounts on the web page for yourself.

There is an interview with the author on youtube, that lasts more than an hour and a half. I really want to read this book. I have read about some of the people, and events that he talks about in it, and they are very interesting.
