I'm trying to find a picture of Cecil Brooks plainsman rifle. Would like to see the carving on it.Thanks for the help.

Cecil was a custom maker and made no two rifles alike. If you had pictures of one of his "plainsman" rifles it would probably not look like any other he built.

Mike your right,I have a Pedersoli plainsman rifle that was built after one of Cecil rifles. I lost the web site that gave a picture and the info on that rifle.I can't find the site. Thanks Mike for your reply

I know Mr. Brooks was commissioned in 1955 to build a rifle to be presented to the main speaker at the NRA Convention and made one a year until he died. Here is a picture of one; unfortunately you can't see much detail. http://www.nraam.org/pastmeetings/2005.html
Charleton Heston was presented a Brooks rifle in 2000 IIRC,and was featured in the American Rifleman magazine in that year. Maybe you can find a copy of the magazine to see the rifle.

The "Plainsman" rifles built for/by Replica Arms, out of Marietta, was designed by and initial construction supervised by Cecil. They pop up once in a while and there were a couple of different variations available. They were made in Italy and there was some engraving and carving on one modael
