I have a .54 cal Thompson Center percussion barrel that I would like to change to a Flintlock.
How difficult is it to switch breech plugs?

I have no experience but I would imagine that even with the proper tools it would be quite a project.
Even if you bought a flintlock barrel, fitting it to your stock would be some work too.

if you can find a flintlock TC barrel they are a drop in to almost every TC stock. even the no name/off brand investarms barrels will fit.
i would keep the percussion lock and barrel and find the TC parts for the conversion.
Someone on ebay will have them. all it takes is money.
