on shooting the British military match rifle [and winning the Gold in the international 100m BP rifle match.

In case anybody here gets interested in acquiring such a rifle, there are good selection to be found here in UK from well-known makers like BSA, Kerr, Beasley and others of like reputation. Remembering that you are also getting a 20% discount by not paying the UK's catch-all GST, some of these beautiful guns can start to look like bargains.

Sure, they are 2 -5K bargains, but nonetheless.......

2-5k for a nice piece like that is a bargain.....also given that people on Gunbroker ask $1500 for chopped up Springfield muskets that look like they've been buried in the ground for 100 years
