Well, I would love to try minie on mine, but at the moment I only use it for USCW reenactments. It is my first percussion that I have ever owned, and from what I have seen they are really cool guns. I recently started doing cavalry as well, so I will hopefully start to accumulate some pistols as well. If I had the spare change, I would have a Lemat if anything. But they are more expensive than most muskets! So i'll probably have to settle for a Colt Army or Navy.

ARILAR, Tell me more about the heavy minie, 745 gr is a HUGE chunk of lead! Also why FFFg and not FFg with such a big slug in big caliber?
Well, I only do paper-target shooting and at 100 meters distance that big bullet has made the best groups. When I compete out in Europe (as in Boredaux, France this summer) its sometimes unsecure if at the range they can provide the powder quality I prefer. In Bordeaux they promised to provide Swiss n 2 (fffg) so therefore I changed from my earlier choice Swiss n 3 (ffg) this summer.
