Does anyone remember who posted the picture of the poem about hunting bushytails on a powder horn?

I believe it was nearly two years ago. Been thinking about it for awhile now. Thanks for any and all help.

AT the top of this page there is an areas "SEARCH" might go there and type in some "key" words and see what happens.

I tried for almost an hour with no luck. Figured it might jog someone's memory.

Thanks GB but that's not it. I really appreciate the try.

Nice looking horn and plug too.

Any additional information would be helpful......
I did come across this one...

T'was the night before deer season
And all through the house
Dad had practicing hunting
By shooting squirrels and trapping a mouse

The guns have been sighted in
and polished with care
dreaming and hoping
that big buck would appear

The camo is washed
with scent eliminating soap
the bows and guns will be pulled
into the tree stands by rope

The grunt tubes and bleat cans
that we have practiced with haste
when we harvest that deer
not a scrap of meat we will waste

Tomorrow's the day waited for all year
If we are lucky to get one
we'll celebrate with those we hold dear

Sorry guys, I've had way too much time on my hands today. Hope you all enjoyed!
Happy safe, hunting and to all a great season! HOHOHO!!!!

It was a scrimshawed powder horn that I think NWTFlonghunter on the forum here had. Went through all posts I could find regarding pictures of horns and scrimshaw examples.

Was a 4 line poem about hunting in the bushytail woods. Can visualize it in my head but can't remember the words.

Thanks for the interest and help.

"In the squirrel woods...
Men become boys,
And boys become men.
In the squirrel woods..."

Words to live by.

Correction!

In the squirrel woods
Men become boys
Boys become men
Everyone is equal
In the squirrel woods

If you find it, please post it. You have my curiosity.

thanks

Squirrel huntin time

It's that time of year again comin real soon.
The leaves are turnin an there's a hunters moon

The squirrels they are runnin this way and that
I'll soon have one fryin in a skillet of fat

I take down my flinter from off of the wall
my bag full of possibles including my call

My little dog Dolly knows the times drawin near
When she sees me fussin with my gun and my gear

She's a good huntin dog and a squirrel treein fool
every time we go out, good success is the rule

I ain't found a better way to spend my time
then with my gun and my dog when squirrel huntins prime.
