I must say, this thread is about the best advertising you could do mate. I'm really looking forward to seeing the end result!
That's very kind of ya bud . I'm just a regular ole guy that is crazy about trade guns . Love their versatility in actual use , they just point like a dream and a blessing to tote around . Always like their history as well. Take care :)

Got a chunk of brass , grind it to rough shape then solder it to barrel for front blade , left high for sight in later ...

Mint!! I love that idea. I'm cobbling together a smoothbore .62 flinter and my front sight plan has just been decided.

Gettin there ...its in usable but ' in the rough " shape . I have to refine and slim the whole stock down , decide if I want rear mortice incised carvings , I'm going to inlet the trigger guard , then the stock is ready for shellac ...the ramrod , tapered , is soaking ....then I have to stamp the Barrel with appropriate stamps and file on the rings , and then make a rear sight out of steel and solder it to the barrel .... Then sight in , then start barrel browning .....Thats about the gist of it .... Sheew , gettin tired ...night all .
