well i went ahead and drilled for a bead sight for the front. had a 4-40 brass screw i turned the head down to a round bead so was going to use that. bit run out made the hole to big.
cut a dovetail to hide the hole. cut the male dovetail on the sight too narrow! found another sight. got it installed.

I didn't get my 1st rifle 100% perfect. So, I figured that my 2nd build will be a pistol. If I disfigure the stock, a replacement isn't costly like a rifle blank.
