Last week I put in an order for five pounds of black powder from Buffalo Arms. They hit my card with a pending charge for six days and issued me a tracking order. The tracking showed up as "waiting" for five days, as my CC statement online showed "pending." Today the card has no pending charge from them and the tracking is still blank.

No real problem or complaint here-my guess is they took a pile of orders and filled them until product ran out. I wonder how many credit cards they hit provisionally and then cancelled. They have not sent me a cancellation notice. Is this typical procedure for this company?

That's normal procedure. Your order is in the works. Mine did the same thing. I thought 'this is strange' so I called them. They had received 8000lbs of BP and were in the process of shipping it. The orders take 2-3 weeks to actually move to the shipped status. I finally got my shipped notice today. Be patient, they are overwhelmed with orders. Your order will process if your card was pinged.

Me too. I called this week and they confirmed that my order is in queue. They report never having seen this kind of order volume before.
