Here's the rifle's owner, Randy. He had forebears in Rowan Co. from 1769 to 1803 and wanted a rifle representative of that place and time. He chose Henry Bruner's rifle, and we modified it by using a shorter, swamped barrel. Randy is a jewelry designer and made the sterling silver patchbox. Durs Egg lock, Colerain barrel, small Davis double set triggers. Jack Garner of Tennessee Valley Mfg. cut the stock from my pattern. Finished with dark brown leather dye, Minwax 209 clear sealer and tung oil.
