Brown Bess. Somebody built this to represent a Watkin commercial Brown Bess. The barrel, lock, and possibly the stock are Pedersoli. The lock was reworked and engraved with the Watkin marking. The buttplate, sideplate, thumbpiece, triggerguard, and ramrod thimbles are all Rifle Shoppe parts. The nosecap is a wrap around piece that is open on the end and held with a copper rivet, such as would have been done. Very nice sparker. The bore is bright and shiny. A perfect musket for a F&I or Rev War militia or American piece. Asking $925.00 plus shipping.
