Looking for recommendations for a Peddersoli Bess. I hunt river bottoms here in NC. Have taken some smaller Hogs and deer at close ranges. 50 or 60 yard shots common. I was using 90 grains and 9 OO pellets. Can I use more pellets without increasing the powder charge? Thanks

Yeah, tip double in. You'll know it when it lights up but I think 50 to 60 yard shots on piggies is pushing the envelope some what!

One .75 ball can make bacon at fifty yards, and will be very accurate at that range.
Your gun was designed to handle ball, buck and ball and double ball, so your gun can more then handle it. However I’m thinking single ball would be a killer ( no pun intended)
