The brass Tedd Cash capper gets polished with Flitz and a patch as does my brass frame unmentionable. Difficult;t deep stains might be removed with a red pencil eraser if they still make such things.
I used a Craytex medium then a fine wheel but used by hand not in a Dremal tool.

Well took the .44 cal out to the range today and it works great no problems. Went from a rusted corroded frozen cylinder to a fully functioning pistol. Only part needed was the cylinder pin that got destroyed taking it out. Is there replacement triggers that are not as unfriendly to the finger ? It's a Pietta 1858 remington
