Two books for ml shooters wanting to learn as much as possible about this game. First was published in 1949 by B.M. Baxter titled for BEGINNERS only. It actually has much more good info about ml than a beginner would need. The author understands the intent of the formation of the modern day ml avocation, much of what has been lost.
The other book Muzzle Loading Shooting and Winning with the Champions was created and edited by Don Davis in 1974. This copy was given to me and autographed by my good friend, Don Davis. The book is a compilation of interviews of the greats of that time in various disciplines of the ml game. Max Vickery on offhand; Peter Allan on pistol; Webb Terry on bench; musket (CW type) by Bob Butcher and Hawken rifle offhand by Bob Butcher. Many of these greats are no longer with us but their advice is still valid. You can improve your shooting by reading what these great men and ml shooters have to say. I'll add, for those of us seriously involved in this ml avocation these are collectors items.
