Years ago I wandered into a big discount store that was going out of business and ended up spending almost $300 on muzzleloading accessories that were marked down to less than peanuts. I got cases of plastic tubes of a lube called pistol patch from Blue and Gray Products. It squeezes out the consistency of fresh caulk out of a tube of caulk, but it stays soft and doesn't melt in high heat and doesn't get stiff in the cold. I have used it for years and I am down to my last tube. I am fairly sure this is an industrial lubricant that was repackaged. It reminds me very much of some of the cream colored light weight tub greases on the market at auto stores.

Does anyone know what Blue and Gray sold in these tubes as "Pistol Patch"?
