I am looking specifically for Blackpowder Hunting magazine, summer 1998 issue "I THINK". There was a Ross Seyfried article regarding Forsyth rifling, pictured was an "ebonized" Purdy percussion rifle, and testing of 2 different barrels on a modern percussion platform. I think the cover was mostly green with a bedded Dall Sheep.

I have that magazine. Built a dandy percussion and a flintlock English sporting rifle with plans from TOW. You can have the magazine for the shipping cost. If you haven't found one. Let me know, Jim
