....the 10g on the pigeons today was stellar 👌.
Using 1&1/8oz of #5 and a mere 60gns of the finest powder I can get I took several birds (more than in the photo) close and far with a good sharp bang and plenty of power.
Wads today were just one card. A blob of coconut butter stuff I robbed from the wife and one thin leather wad. Card on top of the shot.
In the photo is Berti the bouncing (floating) decoy.

This Pedersoli 10g is proving to be a very versatile gun.
 
Thanks but these are not the dirty town dwelling pigeons that are a pest. These are our European wood pigeon, Columba palumbus.
A very clean bird. They eat good food too not like their town pigeon cousins.
They are a prolific breeder so huge numbers can develope.
 
Nice job.

During dove season around here pigeons are fair game as well. Only difference is, the doves get picked up. The pigeons are left for the vermin to feast on.
