Just checked, full powder load was 5cwt or 560lbs for a 2,000 lb shell!

15 of them were made, some were fitted to two Italian battleships, the others were installed in Malta and Gibraltar to counter the Italian ships!
Thought that was a Malta gun. YouTube video on them. Armstrong guns I think.

I will try and find the photo's/video's and post them here of me working on a couple of 30 pound civil war cannons. Each one takes a 2.5 pound charge.
