As above, I use PayPal whenever I can. I just don't put anything in the description that mentions anything about guns. I've made two recent puchases from members. One wanted PayPal the other personal check. I've used money orders quite a bit and cashier's checks. They all work. PayPal is fastest the others slower but they all work

I was going to pay a creator/vendor here by Postal Money Order, and when I went to purchase the Money Order at the Post Office I was told that they required cash for the Money Order (plus the fee). I sent a personal check instead and had to allow a day or two for it to clear before the seller sent the item.
Learning patience and not expecting immediate results is a good thing for me.

That works till the item gets lost or damaged then what? How will you disclose the nature of the contents?
I for one got rid of PayPal and use a CC, MO or personal check. Screw PP and their woke commie anti gun BS!

yes, I have purchased with them before. Effective and cheap. I do wonder the best way to assure the purchaser they are ok.
The problem with Postal Money orders is you can not guarantee that they get to the seller! If they are "lost" it takes a min 6-9 months to recover your money, if you are lucky!! Many banks are now using ZELLE to transfer funds back and forth.

It may take a while as government red tape is slooooow but at least you get your money back unlike PayPal that tells customers like JT above they are SOL.

No PP, Zelle, Venmo for me. I offer postal money order or bank check. If those aren't acceptable, I don't need what you're selling. I don't mind waiting a few extra days for the check to clear. I also won't get offended if the vendor won't accept MO or check.

I don't and won't use PayPal for anything. Why help enrich someone that will take away my God given rights.

I closed my account seral years ago when they started the Anti2nd Amend bull! I also had an issue that they froze my acct on for several months, even though it was not my fault. After that, they were done!

Frankly Post Office money orders are a pain to use. First, a trip to the bank to stand in line to get the cash (amount of the transaction usually exceeds the daily ATM limit). Now drive to the Post Office which is the other end of town in the downtown area where parking is scarce. Then another 15-30 minutes in line at the post office to get the PO, fill it out, and mail it (they always have one less window open than they need). There goes a couple hours of my day.

Since PayPal is out for many transactions I mostly look for vendors who accept credit cards. I’ve passed on some nice buys with vendors who don’t. Some who do charge a fee to use a card, and I will often pass on those too unless it’s something I really want and the price with the added fee is still reasonable.

Credit cards are by far the safest and easiest way to pay. I have even had to go to my credit card company to resolve a PayPal dispute when PayPal didn’t live up to their end. That’s also when I learned that dealing with PayPal over a disputed charge is extremely difficult and can take close to a year to get any action. I only use them now for transactions of small amounts.

Use PayPal at your own risk! I buy and sell muzzleloaders only but they froze my account with no warning and no chance to plead my case. The funds in the account were confiscated and eventually "lost" to service fees. There was not even a suspension time, my activities were permanently suspended.

I had an issue with PayPal that was not my fault, that they admitted, but it still took two months and many calls to resolve. Once they fixed it, I immediately closed the account. The Cust ser. rep asked me why , and i told them You will not hold me or my money hostage ever again! Done with them, never looked back!

I do not mind sending a personal check. Most the time however, the seller wants a money order. I have found that by placing the money order in one of those heavy document protector style envelopes that its less likely to get lost. Its to the point where I am just going to sit tight if I need something and then when I go to an event carry some cash and pick up what I need then. Otherwise I don't need it.

I am waiting for a check now from a guy who bought some unmentionable parts from me. I sent the parts to him before I had payment, because I am honest, straight forward and can't live in constant fear of someone stealing from me etc. I still do not have the check after two weeks. He was too cheap to use "tracking" How stupid? Anyway, I am in contact with him and he says he will cancel and reissue the check. Maye he will wise up and spend a few bucks for tracking, but I won't hold my breath!

I used to do that too.. send the item while waiting on payment…. Got burned twice. Never again. One was a check that bounced. The other never came. I finally got the bounced check fixed. I’ll still take a personal check… but you will wait till it fully clears my bank. Honestly…. Same with an MO…. My bank treats it the same as a check. When the funds show up… I send the item.
