RANGE RULES
1. NMLRA rules apply except where amended within this schedule.
2. Each competitor is fully responsible for her/his own targets following registration. She/he will post and pull their own targets and turn them in to a range officer at the end of each relay.
3. All verifications by Range Officers must be signed by a range officer before the target is removed from the target frame.
4. You may shoot any target(s) in any relay.
5. Practice targets may be posted based on range availability and at the discretion of the range officer.
6. Attention: bench shooters ”“ only one practice target allowed per bench match purchased.
7. All rifle, pistol, and bench rest relays have a 30 minute time limit. All targets must be pulled at the end of each relay. Exception: Trade gun targets may be shot over two relays if desired.
8. No firearms may be loaded and primed or capped until the range officer declares the line as “hot”. Firearms must be primed or capped at the firing position, not at the loading bench. No firearms may be handled while the line is “cold” or during a cease fire, except to remove a firearm from or stage a firearm at the loading bench.
9. All shooting will cease at the command of “cease fire”. Any firearms still loaded will be discharged into the ground between the firing line and the 25 yard line in a manner that is evident to the range officer that the shooter is not pointing the firearm in the direction of a target.
10. Ammunition will be patched round ball only propelled by black powder or an approved substitute (such as Pyrodex).
11. All sights in all rifle, pistol, and bench rest matches and aggs must be open sights as defined by NMLRA rules. Shaders are permitted. Exception: Any metallic sights may be used in the benchrest agg.
12. All shooting, except bench rest aggs and sub-Junior aggs, will be performed offhand ”“ standing on both feet with no other portion of the body touching the ground or any other supporting surface. Rifles and shotguns will be supported by both hands with the butt contacting the shoulder. Pistols shall be supported by one hand only.
13. For malfunctions, notify the range officer for verification.
14. Shots on the wrong like target will be awarded to the shooter with the score minus one point. The target owner will not be penalized. This must be confirmed by the range officer before the target is pulled from the target stand.
15. All bench rest matches will be shot from positions 8 through 17. These positions may be used by other shooters when not in use for a bench rest agg or sub-Junior agg.
16. Shooting spots may be held overnight, but if the firing line is full the next morning and the shooter is not present, the spot will be relinquished by the range officer to another competitor.
17. No smoking within 10 feet of the firing line. Please pay attention to marked areas.
18. No consumption of intoxicating beverages at the firing line or while shooting.
19. Any shooter may shoot in a higher classification. Example: sub-Junior may shoot in Junior or Adult aggs. Juniors may shoot in Adult aggs.
20. A junior is a shooter who has not reached her/his 17th birthday. A sub-Junior is a shooter who has not reached her/his 12th birthday. Sub-Juniors may bring their own bench to shoot in the Sub-Junior Agg.
21. Old Timer's participants must be 60 years of age or older.
22. Trade gun targets require five (5) shots to be fired at each critter. There are two critters per target sheet so shooters will fire 10 shots per target sheet. A trade gun target with two critters may be posted and fired over two relays. Trade guns may be sighted or unsighted. Trade guns must be 20ga/62caliber or less.
23. Trap shooters will be given a competitor number at the trap range. Trap shooters must have their competitor # on the back of their shirt or hat and visible to the range officers at the trap match.
24. Any safe muzzle loading shotgun, with outside, exposed hammer(s) and exposed nipple(s) using only flint, percussion or musket caps for ignition will be allowed.
25. Top Flintlock shooters must shoot the entire Men's Agg, Matches 1 - 10 with a flintlock, declared at registration. The shooter will be entitled to a prize in the regular match according to the score. In addition, a traveling trophy, donated by Jack McDonald, will be awarded to the top flintlock shooter and prizes in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
26. Range officers will be identified by orange caps.
27. All registered shooters will receive a complementary family membership to the Luther Long Hunter's Club.

Saunder’s museum is unbeleaveable for were it is in Berryville, AR a got to see. They must have well over 2 million dollars worth of pricless Colt's & Remmington's there(I counted them). They have all of Billy the Kid's pistols, all of Frank James pistols, all of Jessie James pistols, & Pretty Boy Floyd's pistol. Well worth the $5 bucks to get in.
