My suspicion is this is an early Kirkland or H&H kit imported from Belgium. The Belgian origin is easy, stamped on barrel, lock and a crown over ELG proof mark with 11.4 for the bore size (.448) but there are no importer's marks anywhere on the gun. Gun is 14-inches overall with 9" barrel.
What's great about this percussion pistol: Barrel and lock are nicely browned with no areas of finish loss. The gun appears unfired, barrel is bright and hammer shows only a few strikes on the nipple. Lock is crisp, works correctly and trigger pull is decent. Stock has no visible dings or handling marks. Nice brass thumb inlay and butt cap, side plate has some nice engraving with a single screw. Striped ramrod has a clever male threaded end with an attached patch worm. Threaded for common 1/4-28 nipples. Researching here on the forum, seems Belgian barrels from the 60's and 70's are good shooters.
What's not so great: Inletting around the brass barrel wedge key and nose cap is a bit rough. Final finish applied to stock with brass fixtures fitted, so most have a some varnish on them. The gun was built and then spent 40+ years hanging on a wall. The ramrod thimbles have some discoloration on the bottom where they contacted the hanger.
