@Daryl Crawford As I put in my thread there is nothing quite like spring turkey season. You are correct in that the longer I hunt, the less I worry about the actual act of taking the bird. I have been lucky to hunt with my son the last few years. We usually trade roles each year - one the shooter and one the caller. He has let me have a turn two years in a row because I think he really enjoys watching me take a bird with a muzzleloader.
There is an excitement to calling turkeys that rivals any bull elk or whitetail deer I've ever called up - and the weather is just so much nicer, lol. I wish all of you a good hunt in these next few weeks. I hope you make wonderful memories.
