From the June issue of Guns & Ammo; pg.18. A 1940 movie, 'ARIZONA', had a town built for it which is now the modern "Old Tucson". William Holden, Jean Arthur, dir. by Wesley Ruggles. What is amazing, is the Original Arms used in it! A quote states, "probably has more interesting, original, unaltered arms per foot of film than any other movie of it's type!" Takes place around time of the Civil War. Firearms seen are all original and deftly handled. Model 1819 Hall carbine; Colt & Remington revolvers; NUMEROUS PLAINS RIFLES; Starr revolvers; nickeled Colt 1860 Army with carved ivory grips; percussion dbl. bbl. shotgun; Henry rifle, even a Blakeslee quick-loader. (I've quoted heavily here, many of you may get the magazine already.) I'm going to get a DVD copy! Wonder who the 'armorer' was??
