Seems like the forum keeps locking up on me lately. It really ticked me off when I took a spell to prepare a post only to have everything lock up when I hit the enter key.

All the other sites that I frequent seem to work just fine so I'm wondering if the forum server just don't love me any more.

I've been having trouble for the past couple of months. Sometimes a page takes 5 minutes or more to load. No problems with any other sites, but I have noticed that if I close IE and then come back to the site, it works OK for a little while again.

    Likewise.
Though I'm not at 5 min. per page, things definitely s..l...o....w down after a few minutes use. It sure seems site specific. Shifting to another site, and then returning, helps...but it's only momentary. I've tried the route trace thing and yup, it's coming a long way, but so are the many other feeds which never seem effected ??
    Time of day thing?? :idunno:

I am having similar issues. When clicking on a topic, sometime it will load quickly & sometimes several minutes or lockup. Other sites do dot have a similar issue for me so I am assuming it has to do with the Forum server ...... ?

    Mr. Muskeg Stomper,
    Same problem here.
Sometimes it helps if I log out and visit another site, then return.
    Best Wishes

We made some changes late last night. Please let me know if the slow-downs continue.

Still terrible for me...took me no less than 5 attempts over several mnutes to respond to your question.

But I can sign off and go to any other site basically instantaneously...come back here and its slow as molasses...its really been this way on and off for a few months.

It's not my browser, my laptop, my network, etc...every problem I experience from home I also experience from the work location...different everything.

The "slow downs" are still happening for me. Not all the time, but happening.

Any particular time of day, or are the slow-downs at all times?

Don't know if this info is of any value to you, but I've had only one instance of trouble. A couple of days ago, I got nothing but a blank page for a couple attempts to get on. Tried again an hour later and it was fine. I log on often, at different times. I use a MacBook running OS 10.6.2 and Safari 4.0.4. The site generally responds beautifully.

That particular problem was a corrupted file. I didn't see it until I logged in, in the morning, and had it fixed within about 30 minutes.

The recent slow-downs may have ben related to low allocation of memory, but that has been increased. We'll see if it makes a difference.

They happen at other times as well, but I have noticed a sudden slowdown just about every day at 5:10 am eastern time. I could set my watch by it.

I wasn't on this morning at that time so I don't know if it's still happening.

I'm not sure of the current schedule, but most servers run back ups and maintenance in the middle of the night. Service will always be unavailable during that time. 5am for you is 2am where the server is located.

That's exactly what I thought was happening then.
