I recently made a purchase of three guns a Pecos valley .36 cal, GR Douglas 45 cal. and a S. Mathews Shadow land 50 cal. I have found limited information on the first two but nothing on the Mathews. the dark stock is the Pecos valley 36, the light tiger stock is the Douglas 45,

I cant help with information on those, but theyre sure nice looking pieces. Certainly custom builds.

Looks to me as S.MATHEWS was the builder, SHADOWLAND may have been the business name, as the built for ALLEN GONZALES was the person who the gun was built for, very nice rifles. Theres a lot of builders out there, that dont get noticed.
